The Center for Community Health and Wellness partners with other Coalition organizations, including Mill City Grows, and the Lowell Farmers’ Market, to increase access to healthy, local food for hospital staff. Current and future programs include hosting a CSA distribution site and creating a community garden on hospital grounds. Additionally, the hospital’s nutrition department provides education and outreach resources within the community.

Lowell General Hospital has developed a partnership with the World PEAS Food Hub at the New Entry Sustainable Farming Project to source local food for the hospital cafeteria.
