>>At the March 25, 2020 Northern Middlesex MPO meeting, Draft FFY 2020-2024 TIP Amendment 3 was released for a 21 day public comment period. This amendment involves additional programming of funds for the Boston Road/Concord Road intersection improvement project in Chelmsford.

>>In response to Governor Bakers State of Emergency guidance, beginning Tuesday March 17, all NMCOG staff will be working remotely or solely in the office. Staff will not attend in-person meetings. Staff will be available to discuss projects, but any meeting attendance will be virtual. Currently scheduled meetings hosted by NMCOG staff will be virtual or postponed until further notice. This policy will be in effect until the COVID-19 situation in the area is under control and we are certain to be able to return to normal office operations. >> NMCOG is currently developing a new Five-Year Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) document for the Greater Lowell region. Stay tuned for the full document to be released!

>> To better ensure transparency in government spending on transportation projects, the Northern Middlesex MPO, in cooperation with MassDOT and the Lowell Regional Transit Authority, has published the FFY 2019 Annual Listing of Obligated Transportation Projects for public review. This document contains a list of both highway and transit projects for which federal funds were obligated.

>> At It's July 24, 2019 meeting, the NMMPO voted to endorse the FFY 2020-2040 Northern Middlesex Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). The Plan is currently in effect.

>> Draft FFY 2020-2024 TIP Amendment 2 is now available for public review until March 20, 2020.  A public meeting to hear any comments will be held March 10, 2020 at 5:30 PM at NMCOG offices.

>> On February 26, 2020, Federal Highway Administration and Federal Transit administration employees will be on hand at the NMMPO meeting to hear public input on the MPO's transportation planning processes as part of a Federal Certification Review.

>>Your input is important!:  MBTA Rail Vision will identify cost-effective strategies to transform the existing Commuter Rail system into one that better supports improved mobility and economic competitiveness in the Greater Boston region.

>> Resources supporting Students Experiencing Food Insecurity and assistance in Starting a Campus Food Pantry are now available as part of the Lowell Food Security Coalition effort.

>> Check out the Chemical Safety and Climate Change Resources video for businesses and municipalities, offered through the Massachusetts Office of Technical Assistance (OTA).
