You're Invited! Help Shape the Greater Boston Climate Action Plan
The Northern Middlesex Council of Governments (NMCOG) is working with regional partners to develop the Greater Boston Climate Action Plan (GBCAP)—a 10-year roadmap for reducing carbon emissions, improving air quality, and strengthening community resilience.
We need your input to ensure the plan reflects local priorities and community needs. Join us for a 1.5-hour interactive workshop where you’ll learn about the GBCAP and help shape policies and investments in:
🌿 Agriculture & Working Lands – Sustainable farming, land conservation, and climate-smart agriculture
🏢 Buildings – Energy efficiency, electrification, and emissions reduction strategies
🏭 Industry – Clean manufacturing, pollution reduction, and innovative low-carbon technologies
🚆 Transportation & Mobility – Expanding transit, advancing EV adoption, and improving walkability and bike infrastructure
♻️ Waste Reduction & Circular Economy – Recycling, composting, and sustainable materials management
Who Should Attend?
We welcome participation from:
Sustainability, energy, and planning boards & committees
Community-based organizations (CBOs) working on environmental, equity, and health issues
Business owners, industry representatives, and clean energy advocates
Farmers, landowners, and conservation organizations
Residents interested in climate action and local sustainability efforts
