NMCOG is governed by the NMCOG Council, which is comprised of a select board or city councilor, plus a planning board representative, and one alternate, from each of its nine member municipalities of Billerica, Chelmsford, Dracut, Dunstable, Lowell, Pepperell, Tewksbury, Tyngsborough, Westford. The Council meets monthly and provides oversight, policy direction, and guidance on regional priorities. In its governance, NMCOG follows bylaws and operating procedures that ensure accountability, representation, and procedural fairness.
NMCOG Council meetings are publicly posted and typically conducted via hybrid format. All members of the public are welcome to join.
